We are a small scale farm with interests in deep ecology and sustainability rather than USDA organic certification. We run a CSA with pickups on the farm and on Bainbridge Island. We also sell at the Saturday farmers market on Bainbridge Island as well as supplying several local resturants. As trained floral designers, we offer Persephone’s flowers for full wedding packages, though weddings are not permitted on our farm. We grow a variety of heirloom vegetables, herbs, fruit, flowers & raise pastured chickens for eggs. We have trained many future farmers through our well respected internship/apprenticeship program.

Visiting Persephone Farm
We request that visits to Persephone Farm be made by appointment. The best way to set up an appointment is to call Rebecca at (360) 265-1711. This allows us to focus on our work and teaching, spending time planting and nurturing all of the wonderful produce and flowers that our customers enjoy. With advanced notice, we are happy to accommodate visitors including school groups.
We do have several events scheduled each year to which we invite visitors to our farm. There will be an open house in the late spring, the gala Orientation for our CSA subscribers on the first Wed of June, our annual garlic harvesting party in early July, and the popular community cider pressing in October. Every week during the CSA season we are at the pick up sites from 3-5 on Wednesdays. During this time we are available to talk to customers, and answer questions.
We also have an open door policy for our CSA subscribers to visit the farm on their own during daylight hours seven days a week. No need to call in advance. Just come on up and have a picnic, take your children to see the animals, show your friends around the fields, and enjoy our beautiful farm. We will smile and wave but we will need to continue our work. You can drive up and park near the barns, or park on Midway Avenue and walk up the tree-lined driveway. Please remember to keep the gates latched, the kids on the main paths and have all dogs on a leash.
Hope to see you at Persephone Farm.
