The farm welcomed a new batch of thirty chicks in early October. Apprentice Felicia reports, “I had the honor of taking each one out of the shipping box, and placing it into our cozy brooder in the barn. These chicks will come to maturity in the spring and be part of our flock of laying hens. It’s been fun caring for them, and watching them grow—they’ve already doubled in size!” And that was just after one week!
